A fan begins running about 5 minutes after the car is turned off, happens only in the daytime and doesn't seem to matter the temperature or cloud cover. I've brought it to two dealerships to have it diagnosed, but they can't recreate the issue as they do diagnosis under a cover and the car only seems to do it if daylight is involved (meaning it's running for 8+ hours while I'm at work). Someone says the car does it to keep itself cool, but it started after an oil change and I don't see anywhere that says this is a normal feature. It shuts off for under a minute and starts again. Any ideas?

i think it's some kind of pollution control check, they all do it, no worries. (unfortunately, dealers are the least likely to understand hybrids) if they can't plug their scanner in and get a code, they're pretty much at a loss.

Sure sounds like the interiour fan with the solar roof. When it runs, go inside the car and check if there is air coming out of the vents.
But more importantly: where does the sound come from? Does it come from the engine bay? From the exhaust? From the tyres (yes I'm being pedantic but at this point it's anyone's guess).
