    Actually I'm almost positive the first "allotment" will be going to the West Coast. Why else would everybody be signing up with those auto dealers? I remember signing up for my Prius in 2004 and waiting 5 months for it. Didn't get it until November 2004, so at least when I got one I had one of the 1st new 2005 model year ones. I have no doubt I'll be waiting again, even if I happen to be the 1st. But hey, maybe they'll use the Arctic passage for the car carrier by the time they ship it.

    I think you are on to something here! Now that hybrids have been kicked out of HOV lanes in California, some folks will sell their cordless Prii and order the Prius plug in.

    It sounds like dealers in California may pre-order a lot of plug-ins to resale since it is going to be a hot item due to HOV stickers.
