They should have rotated your tires. take it back and have them do that! You get a tire rotation and full vehicle check every 5ooo miles and oil changed at 10,000 mile until the car reaches 25K. That's Toyota policy, that's what I had on my 2011 Prius and it's the same for my Avalon!

MPG??? I noticed the Camry is around 40. Thinking about a 2015 for the stable.

This forum is killing me. I might have to buy one.

BTW/the comment on Prius quality is spot on and has created a loyal following.

i don't think the hyave is much lower, and it's larger, heavier, more powerful, quieter and more comfortable than the hycam.

On average, yeah. Given that you're in FL, I suspect you can probably net a bit higher than that. You don't have the winter penalty that the rest of us have to deal with which pulls down our average (e.g. I'm sitting at 4.9L/100km or 48mpg lifetime with the 2010 Prius which is rated at 50mpg combined. This includes temps from -40 to +35°C/94°F)

Looking at the Avalon and they seem to be short in certain colors.

    MPG for the Avalon????

Also the pass through on the Avalon big enough to pass a cat through?

I have a 2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring. I get from about 36 to 40 MPG in a Chicago suburb and about 40 on the highway. Don't have a trunk pass through on the hybrid. If you ever consider buying a Camry, just take an Avalon for a test drive. I have the blind spot monitors in the outside mirrors and rear cross traffic alert. Great safety options.

The Avalon Hybrid has the same power train as the Camry Hybrid, everything else is your statement is true. If you test drive an Avalon Hybrid and a Camry Hybrid, it will be hard to settle for a Camry, I went for the Avalon, glad I did.

Before I bought my Avalon Hybrid I rented a new Camry Hybrid from a Toyota dealer for 3 days. I then took an Avalon Hybrid for just a test drive. No contest. I bought the Avalon.

I'm fine with the Avalon and Camry Hybrids being in a subset of PriusChat and many of us who own either car once owned or still own Prii.
