From my searches here it seems the 2013 Gen3 regular Prius uses a hotter plug? Is it hotter than the factory ones I am removing (90,000 miles)? Or was this a later update?
    I’m confused.
It is likely Auto Zone, etc. will have updated part numbers?
I’m planning to get Nippon Denso iridium.

The OEM spark plugs are good for 150k miles. You don't have to change them at 90k.

But to answer your question, there is a hotter plug available, some use it, some don't.

wait for 120k as the schedule provides, and get them from a dealer to avoid serious problems with counterfeits

Page 562 of the Owner's Manual spec's the plugs:

Except: Toyota has revised the plug, it's now SC16HR11, slightly hotter. Simple as dirt way: call dealership parts department, tell them you need plugs for a 2013 Prius, see what they come up with. Just in case there's been another revision, which they "should" be on top of.

Torque spec (from Repair Manual) is 15 foot/pounds, presumably with clean/dry threads. You need a 14 mm or 9/16" spark plug socket.

Dummy gave me the wrong plugs. Returned them went to Napa and installed the same number as I took out.
