Hey guys I’m getting the p0aa6 code, this all started after changing head gasket. I didn’t disconnect the hybrid safety plug until I was nearly finished with the job (didn’t know there was a safety plug) and I believe I got engine degreaser on the ac compressor HV connector. So I’m attaching my live data results from techstream, hopefully someone can look over the photos and point me in the right direction

Sometimes this code show up if something doesn't get plugged back in... Re-check everything, especially make sure orange safety plug slides down after lever is folded in place.

I have everything connected and the safety plug connected and locked into place. Did anything in the images stand out to you?

Was anyone able to look at my techstream data photos and see what could possibly be causing the p0aa6?

Unless I missed something, your photos all looked like they were from the live data page.

Photos of the freeze frame data from the P0AA6 code would be more helpful.

That freeze frame would also contain INF codes to help focus you on a specific area of the car where the isolation fault might be.

This image is for a Gen 2, but Gen 3 is mostly the same. Biggest change is Gen 3's A/C inverter is inside the compressor itself, so in Gen 3 the orange cable to the compressor is part of the 614 area, not 611.

I will pull up the freeze date for the p0aa6 code and post some photos once I get home. Is the freeze data where the sub code will be displayed (ex: 526, 611, 614 etc) ?

    Yes. That's the INF code.

So when I pulled up the freeze dram it had a P0aa6-526. I posted a pic for reference.

I ran the vehicle is maintenance mode for about 20 minutes, due to replacing the water pump and thermostat. When I went to look and the hybrid control dtcs after seeing them earlier they were no longer present. The check hybrid system warning message is gone and the vehicle is running.

im going to do the 40 mile drive cycle to make sure no codes reappear.

side note, could replacing the water pump fix the P0AA6 code??

If you took more pictures scrolling down that freeze frame, the INF codes would be in there somewhere. I know it's showing P0AA6-526 in the heading at the top, but sometimes 526 isn't the only INF code.

Can I still access that freeze frame data when the code is cleared?

When I go to trouble codes for hybrid control, the freeze frame icon is grayed out, im assuming because of no code.

    I'm new to techstream
