This part is amazing! Your car; your information. That's like a doctor refusing to tell you your blood pressure.

it's to the right, where your pic says maintenance required. i don't know how to upload a pic, why don't you put your finger on the temp button and see what happens?

You’ve never posted a pic ?

If on your phone (that’s all I use here), snap a shot then here use the “upload file” button below the post reply. Then select “photo library” and you’ll be able to mark what pics you want to share;).

While sharing this for the OP would be nice, I really want to see a pic of your handy work with duct tape for your Prius ;).

Maybe that could be your gift to us on Prius Chat(y).

I do not have the car in my possession. It’s in the shop.

Going from memory, I think I remember that "Temp" with the temperature setting comes on in place of the HSI info on the right. But it seems like only if you actually press the temperature arrows on the steering wheel. I don't remember seeing any vent settings there on my base model. I may have the chance to check it out this evening because we're going to go see some friends and my wife may want some heat on the way home.

Well, I checked it out. Didn't try taking pictures, though.

When I hit the temperature up or down buttons on the steering wheel, the "Temp" text box came up on the HSI display and it showed the current temperature setting (which, of course, changed as I hit the button), an indicator for whether the hvac was set to fresh or recirc, and the battery and EV range indicators. No info about where it was directing the air (feet, face, windshield, etc.) or if A/C was on or not.

That's on a PiP Base. Advanced or hatchback may be different or may not.

Ok great. So that’s not a “problem” then and it isn’t related to loud engine, the knocking, etc. thank you for checking it out for me!

pleasure, but that's only if you're touching the button by accident. if the temp is flashing while your finger isn't pn the button, you have an issue.
