At least Honda has a strong history of making cars
outperform the EPA especially on the highway. I'd bet money the highway mileage outperforms the Fusion and C-max and Volt and perhaps the PIP - thereby making it the most efficient car in most circumstances. Electric in town is all about the same and so the highway is what matters for longer distances.

The Volt will always own the 20-60 mile drive distance.

The spec looks promising. It can also shut down the ICE at up to 62 mph, like Fusion and C-Max hybrid. We'll have to see the real world MPG.

Hopefully they sell decent numbers on the plug-in, but even better is they might put this full hybrid drivetrain in an upsized Insight in a couple or so years. Would it double liftback hybrid sales? Don't know, but a Prius copy could be nice.

Also the redesigned Honda Fit hybrid should get the new Hybrid system.
