Great day to everyone on this form. I have a 2014 Prius V.

What I would like to do is place an information display LED. On the rear glass of the trunk door. This information display would better help other motorist and myself for rideshare.

For instance the informational display will say slow down. Picking up passenger. Would I would like to do is better understand the wiring diagram to the trunk. The disassembly of the panels.

So that I could wire hardwire the LED panel to the battery or splice in to one of the rear lights.
It would be great to hardwire it into the switch above the daytime running light. Thanks again and I really do appreciate anyone looking into this

There are a pair of panels in the hatch that allow you to change the license plate bulbs. If, like me you drive with headlights on all the time, they provide a switched 12 volt source.

This sign runs on 12 volts and is programmed via wifi, so it does not need wiring to the front of the car.

Have bought something similar to what you have quoted. Yes there is 12 volt wires back there that would be sufficient. Thank you for your post I really do appreciate your help
