2016 Prius 3 Touring Brake Actuator Noises

    I know the Gen 3 issues with this, but how much pump cycling is TOO much for a Gen 4 if you're parked not pressing the brake? I hear it often, but nothing after the car shuts off (like a Gen 3 would if it was going out). No other brake issues or noises and everything else seems fine, and no codes..just have PTSD from the Gen 3. Car has 170k miles. Just ignore it and give it a brake flush and call it good?

    you have nothing to worry about until you get trouble codes. hard to say whe too much is too much before then. you may never have issues.

    It does run a lot just sitting there, it just freaks me out. If a Gen 3 does it that much, the inevitable is coming.

    it could be coming, but there's no way to know, unless tech stream has a testing procedure

    Gen 4 has quite a different hydraulic system, if I remember right. I'm not sure how many lessons from gen 3 even carry over straight.
