Those are my big issues as well. You sure found them fast!

    1. If you find a work workaround, please share.Best I can do is scramble to find the route pause button to turn off voice while apologizing to caller and losing my way. Sucks.
    2. Text does show on car-- new incoming only. The is a box on iPhone settings you need to check. I don't remember which exactly.
2A. The email looks to be non functional as hinted at In the manual, and implied by some screens-- really. Really sucks. The car (like all Toyota's) does have Apple Eyes Only that will read your incoming email subject line and send out new emails with voice command. It's like a limited version of Siri that you access throug the hung up phone button on the very left side of wheel-- plenty of You Tube vids on that.
    3. You are screwed not only by your phone size, but also because Apple doesn't not support Qi wireless.

Yes, but as others have said, the 6plus won't fit in the gen 4 qi pad.

Qi works great with Iphones. We use it at home and it works in the Prius too. I think the 6 Plus may fit if I remove the black applique.

    To both:

You can change the incoming call screen from "full screen" to "drop down screen" such that only the number is displayed (if it's in your contacts, otherwise it'll say "Unknown caller") at the top and when you answer it, the navigation screen remains.

Apps --> Setup --> Phone --> Phone Display --> Incoming Call Display. Change that from "Full Screen" to "Drop Down".

    Congrat on your purchase !
Have not really spent any time with the toys yet - I know the iPhone will not charge in the charging area.
I have 2 minor issues - the JBL radio does not adjust real well when u move the sound towards the back - seems to cut off the front speakers very quickly.
The airflow with the heater / blower on high also seems very week.
    Will play more this weekend.
    Again enjoy and congrats.

Excellent! Do you know of a setting to get the nav voice to stop talking while I am on a Bluetooth call? It pains me to know the caller can hear my navigation talking.

Not that I know of. Oddly enough, my system does the opposite. It does not provide route guidance during a call and I've missed a turn once (which is why I switched to drop down, so at least I have the map display to view the turn). If anything, the Gen 4 should continue that feature because it can display directions on the 4.2" MID on the dash.

Yep. My previous generation Prius muted the voice directions while I was on a call. Now the Prius wants everyone to hear those directions. I just turned them off all together. My Ford Fusion Hybrid has the option to turn off the voice and only hear the "dings" for turns. I wish my 2016 Prius had at least that.

    First-time Prius owner / driver.

2016 Prius Three. Pearl White / Harvest Beige interior. (Carpet floor mats the only accessory)

Purchased on 2/24. Los Angeles County. I used the TrueCar.com website. They quote a general price, and give you a choice of 3 dealers to go to.

Best price was $25,109. (that includes the $850 Transportation Fee.) That TrueCar price was $1,000 less than any other non-TrueCar Dealer quote I received. I went with it; I was tired of shopping.

Don't know why TrueCar fluctuates in quotes, but now the price is back up to approximately $26,500 for a Three model. Guess I got mine at a good time.

    Pros:
    Great LED headlights
    Outward visibility good
Acceleration seems quite adequate (for me) even in the "Eco" mode
    Nice firm / tight steering
    Handling seems secure and stable
    Good braking feel
Toyo 15" tires seem to perform well
Plenty of leg / shoulder / head room (I am 6'-4" tall)
Height adjustable driver's seat is a nice touch
White China cup holders and Piano Black areas seem to be of good material quality. No scratches
Climate controls, defrost, and heated mirrors work well
Window lifts work well and are fast
Blizzard Pearl paint sparkles nicely / seems to be of good quality
Great gas mileage / Doesn't go below 60 mpg around town

    Cons: (and a few nit-piks)
I developed an odd sudden dashboard vibration / rattle during week 2. On a completely smooth road. That unnerved me. But only rattled one day, thankfully. (I will update if/when the rattle returns)
Toyo 15" tires seem to put out more than average road noise
My rear "Z" tail lights collect moisture on the inside, from dew and after washing. Don't think that's good
The "Z" tail lights should also act as brake lights, in my opinion
Driver's seat could be more supportive, but I'm a big man and maybe just too heavy
Carpet and floor mats are thin, and could be of higher quality
The cord-suspended "cargo cover" is very thin and cheap feeling
Glove box, and center arm rest storage box do seem to be extra small. As do the door pockets
(But that's fine, I won't fill them up with unnecessary junk)

    Accessories:
I ordered the solid rear bumper protector from the Prius Chat Shop, (not the "decal" appliqué)
Has anyone seen OEM mud guards for the '16 Prius? I can't locate any.
I recently bought the OEM all weather floor mats / cargo mat. Placed them right over the thin carpet floor mats. Fits fine; Nothing slips or slides.

    Note:
I've seen 3 different brands of tires on the Two Base, the Two Eco, and the Three: Bridgestone, Dunlop, and the Toyo tires like I have.
Nothing special about the Eco tires, it seems they are just inflated higher on the Eco model?
The crazy, last minute things the dealer tries to sell you when you're happily signing the papers... like the $1,200 wax job!

My Prius Chat Shop order arrived today. Rear bumper protector and cargo net. Nice fast service. Thank you. (Items came from a Toyota dealer in Ohio.)

The bumper protector is a nice chrome piece. Feels solid. Looks nice on the white car. Take your time applying it... Eyeball it to get it straight. That sticky tape is VERY sticky. Once you place it on the bumper, you ain't movin' it! The cargo net came with two hooks you have to attach on each side of the trunk area. No instructions in the package, but very easy installation.

The vertical cargo net should have 4 hooks (two at the top, two at the bottom).

Hmm, mudguards are standard on Canadian-spec Prius. Must be a way to get them.

Thanks Tidelands. I'm sure Toyota will have the '16 Prius mudguards eventually. I'm getting a lot of dirt thrown up on the rear lower body panels.

The Cargo Net is nice quality. It will be very useful.
-Two small nylon loops on the top of the net. They hang on the metal hooks you screw onto each side of the trunk.
-Two big plastic clips on the bottom of the net. They clip onto the two chrome tiedown loops that I found under my cargo tray.

I'm remembering the engine block heaters had to be bought from a Canadian dealer. It may take a while for inventory to build up in the Canadian service departments. Still, it might make a nice addition to the PriusChat store.
