2017 Prius 3 touring Rear driver quarter got hit. What am I looking at?

    Updating just to mention that this is still ongoing.

    I finnaly got it to a dealership to look at, they still won't be able to look at it for 3 weeks but it's at least where it needs to be for now.

    Two people at the dealership used the word total so there's that.

    Over the course of the last few weeks I've come to suspect that no adjuster actually came to look at the car to do the original estimate.

    Yeah, if the dealership does it, it probably will be total. Their labor rate for mechanics is around $200/hr nowadays. Factor in the rising cost of parts, I'd believe it.

    Do yourself a favor, if they total it, let the insurance buy the car. If you try to fix it, it needs to be done properly or it will never be the same ever again. At least if insurance buys it, they have spare parts now.

    Good news is, its probably another 6 months until the 2023 Gen 5s go on sale! :D

    Y'all, update. Insurance gave me more that the original MSRP took forever. Sad to have seen the car go.
