    The current tank is sitting at 70 MPG displayed after 100+ miles. I doubt I'll be able to maintain 70 MPG as it only takes one time running late for work to drag it down. Still, off to a good start!

    Still sitting at 70 MPG displayed after 200 miles, this even after one "normal" 53 MPG run into work.

    As I've mentioned in the past I have a good commute with minimal traffic so not everyone is going to get 70 MPG.

    Additionally I'm minimally using the AC, "driving with the load", "driving w/o brakes", timing traffic lights, avoiding traffic, and driving very conservatively.

    For example coming out of my subdivision the limit is 70 MPH and the road sharply uphill but the limit quickly drops off to 55 MPH by the top of the hill. If I'm running late I'll go storming up the hill at over 70 MPH (like everyone else). If I'm driving for MPGs I don't bother getting up to 70 MPH.

    Coming home late at night with zero traffic I might go as slow as 30 MPH in some 45 or 55 MPH zones while cresting a hill. My average speed will be higher. If there is traffic I will not drive like this but I live in the middle on nowhere and work odd hours which makes it possible to drive very conservatively without holding anybody up.

    Driving this way adds about 5 minutes to my half hour commute.

    I avoided driving my Camry with the family this weekend. Instead we took my wife's car. Even running the AC and driving more or less "normally" I managed to raise the average for her current tank from 31 MPG to 38 MPG.

    I don't even want to know what she is doing to get it down so low...

    Over 300 miles into this tank and still over 70 MPG displayed. In fact today was a great day for mileage, the Camry got over 70 MPG displayed on the way to work (uphill, against wind, some traffic) and 85 MPG displayed on the way home (downhill, with wind, no traffic). If I can get the displayed mileage a little higher the calculated might have a chance of hitting 70 MPG. As it stands I expect the calculated to be slightly under 70 MPG.

    This tank has only one "fast" run into work that was at 55 MPG, the rest were in the mid sixties or low seventies.

    I am "cheating" a little this tank by not driving my car on the weekends with the family. Driving with the family kills mileage. They not only insist on AC but I've got to go pre-cool the car before they will get in.

    Yeah, we have a challenge on a C-Max hybrid forum on which I think I'm still the no-mods champ at 64.3mpg for the tank but to do that I had to do some similar things. No a/c wasn't one of them as I did it in the cooler spring temps but I did find a slightly longer but slower route with fewer stops which really, really helped. Plus, it was less stressful which was a bonus too. Anyway, you might want to keep an eye on battery temps. I like using a scangage as I don't have any worries about leaving it plugged in 24/7.

    Good luck on keeping that 70mpg tank. That will be quite an accomplishment! (y)

    I've got a Scangage but it is annoying because the auto stops mess with it.

    I should think that 64.3 is beyond excellent in a C-Max.

    Hit 55 MPG lifetime!

    The tank is sitting at 72 MPG displayed after 370 miles or so. I'm hoping to get it up to at least 73.5 so the calculated stands a chance of breaking 70.

    These numbers are really exciting compared to the mileage when it was colder. In the Winter the Camry seems like it runs the engine just to make waste heat. The car operates more predictably in warmer temps.

    Don't worry too much about the AC - as fotomoto was hinting a few posts ago, your battery doesn't like the heat either, and it will thank you as much as your kids do (as the Camry hybrid battery gets cooled by the air from the cabin A/C) :)

    Thanks for your ongoing review - it's really enjoyable, and I'm very impressed with your mileage!

    The tanks sits at 400 miles with an average of 72 MPG displayed. That warmup thing takes a noticeable bite. I'll need to research locking methods.

    500 miles, 72+ MPG so far.

    Monday was a bad day with MPGs in the low fifties going to work due to running late and AC use.

    Today was awesome with mileage in the low seventies on the way to work and low eighties on the way home.

    remaining data destroyed by forgetting to copy it down before it automatically resets.

    The displayed mileage was 72.3 MPG or so.
    I might be able to subtract some readings and recreate the trip "A" length. Accidentally took pics of trip "B" at fill-up.

    Trip "B" was 20.4 miles at the fill-up.

    Trip "B" is at 250.8 so the fill up must have been 230.4 miles ago. Trip "A" says 833.6 so the miles driven for the last tank at fill-up must have been 603.2.

    The OD stands at 5922 so at the last fill-up it was 5692.

    Calculating 69.8 MPG.

    Could have pulled off 70 if not in a hurry those 2 days. Still not a bad tank...

    Next tank will be much lower due to 80 MPH highway driving.

    We are on a road trip. The car got an amazing 57 MPG displayed at 75 MPH with the AC on in 90 plus degree temps while heading East. The mileage dropped to 51 MPG when we turned North. The mileage dropped further to about 49 MPG after the temps dropped into the seventies. The last leg of the trip was on 2 lane back roads and the car did mid sixties at the 55 to 60 MPH speeds.

    We figure we much have had a good tailwind while heading East and expect to pay the price on the return trip home.
