Hey guys, new member. I recently hit a really high curb that took off my passenger side bumper cover on my 2018 Prius Prime. I know for a fact that right after the accident my A/C was still working, but when my dad took it to get repaired it was apparently no longer working. He ended up taking it to Caliber Collision to fix the cosmetic damage, but to fix the A/C issue they said it was internal damage and quoted $4800 for the A/C Accumulator Assembly replacement (#88470-47020) and likely more for the labor.

We’ve since taken it to local auto body shops that specialize in hybrid repair and one said they’d need at least 4 hours for diagnostics, mentioned that they’d never seen one of the error codes before, and recommended the dealer. They did give me the error codes: (B1380, B1442, B14AC).

So now I’m at the dealer and they managed to fix error code B1442 (acorn in cabin filter area, I don’t park outside so I don’t know how this happened) and get the servo moving again. They can’t get the other two codes to go away and will need to open the car up to access the areas affected by the codes, which is along the lines with what the other guy said.

I managed to find a 2017 Prius Prime Repair Manual and that told me that both B1380 and B14AC were opens or shorts in certain power circuits related to the Heat Pump ECU Assembly.

All of this exposition to ask: has anyone ever dealt with these codes, and if so, what ended up being the problem?

I also forgot to describe the main issue: it only blows ambient temperature air, no cold air at all.
