I chose to buy a 2018 Prius Four, because of some nice features such as, good mileage, 11.6" big screen, head up display, parking assistance, etc.

After driving it around for two weeks, I've noticed a few areas that I wish could be better::

Front seats dome lighting - too dim & narrow. It doesn't help me at all 1) to locate the garage door opener button (which is at the bottom of the rear view mirror), 2) to see the buttons on the door, or 3) to see the buttons around the 11.6" screen.

The 11.6" big screen - too close to the driver. I have to take my eyes off the road in order to see the navigation map on the big screen, as a result, I try to avoid using the map that much which is okay at local roads but would be very inconvenient in unfamiliar places. I wish the map gets displayed at where the MID is located, closer to the windshield.

Front nose - not enough clearance. When using a parking spot facing a concrete sidewalk in the front, it's easy for the nose to touch and rest on the sidewalk.

Backup beep - annoying. I couldn't find a way to disable it.

Storage on 4 doors - too small. I cannot fit a folded sunshade in there, or a file folder of A4 papers.

Haven't explored all the features, but so far so good on others.

Congrats on the purchase. Front nose clearance is bad for parking barriers. Easiest thing is to just back up in a space as you have a ton of room at the rear or just simply not pull all the way forward...which will take some time to judge it.

Backup beep, either have dealer or disable thru Carista app.

Storage is also poor from my previous car.

    Enjoy the great gas mileage.

Talk to your dealer - should be part of pre-delivery service.

    Welcome!

You might want to try turning on your parking lights. I do not have the fancy mirror, but on my 2017 all the other labels are lit whenever the parking lights or headlights are turned on.I would expect the buttons around the larger screen to be similarly lit.

The storage in the doors is meant for a water or soda bottle and not much else, IIRC.

    Enjoy your new car.

Google led replacement lights for 18 Prius interior, they are great.
Get a carista obd2 gizmo, lots of customizations available.
Pay attention to your surroundings, and listen to your proximity warnings, they tell you front and rear to stop before you touch something, the map will give you prompts for turns and will also show you on the screen behind the steering wheel, if you have the heads up screen it will also show up there.

@Prodigyplace I tried to update my profile, but the 2018 model hasn't been entered into the dropdown menu.

I agree with about the storage compared to my Gen 2.

Sylvania offers replacement "Super Bright" white LED dome and map lights. The 2018 Prius isn't officially listed on http://www.sylvania-automotive.com yet but I'm sure they are the same as the '16 and '17...I would call them to confirm. Bulb replacement is fairly easy and the website has instructions.
I have the SYLVANIA 168 ZEVO LED Mini Bulb's installed on my doors and they are brighter.

If you have all black interior even LED lights don't help as much as I hoped they would.

I thought the black interior looked too dark. I considered Moonstone but then this one with beige interior became available.

@padroo I do have a all black interior. I'm afraid that might be the case. I'm replying on my fingers (not my eyes) right now to locate the garage door opener button and the unlock all doors button. For the buttons around the 11.6" screen, I turn on the headlamp to illuminate them.

There must be a setting wrong - the "All Doors Button" is definitely illuminated at night.
On LHD vehicles, you've got buttons (RHD have to go into settings):

She has a 2018 with the large screen from the Prime. Our experiences may not apply.

OK - our 2018 still has the same screen - but it's still buttonless and knobless . But I'd be surprised if they shifted the buttons to the side of the steering wheel.
