This will be one of our likely choices to replace either my 2012 Plug in Prius or my wife's 2016 Nissan Leaf. But a recent check shows Hyundai has pushed the Kona EV U.S. delivery back now from Fall to "early 2019""

    Yes, thanks, corrected.
Our Leaf lease is up April 2019, so coming down to the wire if we go with that.

2018 Leaf lease is now down to $139 PER MO.36 MONTHS$2,539 DUE AT SIGNING, that's if you can find base model Leaf S with no option. I am so tempted, but can't find one that fits the bill.

That's $7.5k to lease for 3 years, and only $5k in CA after $2.5k state rebate. A great deal for the right driver and many needing a second vehicle.

And the end of lease purchase price is only $9,883 plus fees and tax. That means after 3 years of test drive, if you like it, you can buy a $30K BEV for $17K + tax and fees.

It will be interesting seeing competition in the EV market where there is actually a large choice.
