Toyota / Lexus designers have failed miserably then with the large black grilles.:eek:
Before the Gen 4 was introduced I strongly considered Honda even though our family has been Toyota-only for many years. I bought the Prius but one of my sons replace his Corolla with a Civic. :(

They all (Toyota, Honda, etcetera) have a crews beavering away, sculpting new intricacies into fairings, headlights, turn signals. They have to earn their paychecks doing something, and ultimately the customers have to convince themselves how lovely it all looks, and how grand-a-pop headlights, glass-jaw fairings fore and aft, fang tail lights, all this crap, is just what they want.

Before I got the Prius I was looking at the Corolla (sometimes you get numbed by the looks of the new cars). My wife saw a picture and wondered what that monstrosity was.

What qualifies as "change" to an automotive enthusiast publication?

btw, note how the category of "compact" has not "changed" over the years. The industry simply turned a blind-eye to the ever-increasing size because other "performance" factors were important to them... speed & power... not emissions & efficiency.

    You are so literal.

Does the Dodge Dart have a pointy nose?
Does the Toyota Corolla have a small crown? Corolla (chaplet) - Wikipedia
Does the Camry have a larger crown?
Is the Toyota Auris only available in gold?
Does the Dodge Demon have pointy horns?
I have yet to see a Ford Mustang galloping down the road unless it has suspension issues :D

The Mustang was named for the fighter plane.

2017 Prime is the 3rd car for me to have meaningful name. Other two cars I owned whose name reflected what the car was meant to do, Nissan Pathfinder and Dodge Caravan.

I've used less than civil language describing our previous #$&#!@ '06 Civic Hybrid.

It's sold off now, likely scrapped, pretty much everything blew on it, lol.

I have yet to see a fighter plane that looks anything like the Ford Mustang logo. Poor aerodynamics.

I think Ford's just taking a bit of artistic license.

Some have a really weird looking horse on them:

The logo designer had the wrong definition.

How many car models get their own logo?

How many car makers use a logo based on a wrong definition?
