I thought the creases were part of the aerodynamics along with the various vortex generators.

    Civic - that's ugly personified

The Civic certainly makes the current PRIUS quite conservative looking

I don't care about the looks - when I'm inside I notice other things.
    • Hopefully they ditch ENTUNE and go for Android CarPlay. Also, give us knobs and buttons on the radio.
    • BETTER seats (than relatively poor) would be good too.
    • HillStart Assist when reversing up a hill.

    lol.

Although I'm not sure if you're aware but the Prius elsewhere in the world doesn't have the volume and tune knobs that we have in North America.

I am aware but the I guess our knobs are for daytime use only? Does your wife's car have the knobs?

I don't care if they're lighted or not - we just NEED knobs!!!!!

I recollect my previous 2 FORDs and KIA - and Dad's ancient Camry we wrecked recently - you just reached across without looking and could find the knobs after the 2nd time.

HINT TO TOYOTA - just something simple like this is far easier and safer than a piece of featureless glass:

I'll trot out the Honda Fit climate control pic again. Bear in mind, this is the base level: shell out more for the top level, and you get the must-have indecipherable touch screen cr@p:

Yeah the knobs are there. It's partially illuminated IIRC (with that crescent moon strip as opposed to a ring like older cars).

Mine Gen 3 doesn't have illuminated knobs but our old Camry and Corollas did.

Why have text identifying the knobs if the text is not lit though? There was an earlier discussion started by somebody else on this.

I love the v's one knob HVAC controls. Three functions with display of all three. Direction of vents, temp and fan speed. Plus push the knob for auto mode. You get used to it quickly and it is big so easy to grasp in the dark. Defrost, A/C are buttons but you use them seldom.

I'll admit it took me a while to get used to. Now that I'm used to it..I like the v's controls scheme a lot more than the Gen3 liftback ( well..2010 anyways ). Once you get the hang of it you can easily do everything without really even looking at the dash.

Cause a decal is cheap to make? and you need to label the knobs anyway.

An automatic parking brake, or even a handbrake would offer greater control.

Sorry, my brain fell into the gutter laughing at the prospect! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Enough already!! @kithmo and I are losing control of our urinary tracts. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah - I don't understand what's wrong with a proper handbrake - the foot - handbrake is so non-intuitive to use - in fact dumb.

i actually like the foot-brake, i like it better then handbrake, but i do wish they added a automatic parking brake instead... luckily the new 2019 corolla/auris will have it for example, so its coming on the 5th gen prius also, even tho its a little late.

Just get your minds out of the gutter. We used terms that are perfectly acceptable to non-deviant people.

It's just the ambiguity of the English language. Euphemisms apart, we're far less constricted with our humour than you guys are with your humor! We remember Queen Victoria, but abandoned her ideas of modesty. No more wrapping our table legs in thick material lest anyone's gaze should be offended.
