I think he's saying Toyota would rather sell $45k cars than $35k cars, so they would rather use the batteries they have for the more expensive cars.

Toyota can build 4 Prius Prime batteries with the cells going into 3 Rav4 Prime batteries.

Will the 2023 Prius Prime have 5 seats or only 4?

~ 4.5 both on the Prius HEV and PHEV. The middle seat is pretty small.

I miss those cars with two bench seats for 3 each for a total of 6 seats.

Please! If someone would only make a cheap and practical station wagon with a fold up third row!

Whoops, indeed I had the date wrong and all of the Prime info has now been posted in the forum.
It's 185 watts. I was actually impressed with how far they thought through the solar panel. You can see in real time the wattage that the panel is creating, and the system will tell you how much has energy has gone back into the battery (in tenths of miles).

    SE $32,350
    XSE $35,600
    XSE Premium $39,170

Actually, no. Just like with the Hybrid press launch, Toyota didn't have any of the base models there for us to see or drive. Only the XSE and XSE Premium. They even only had 1 XSE with the smaller screen and no glass roof, if I'm remembering correctly.

The photos provided to the press are all done (usually) the day before the press event starts, so they use the cars for the photo shoot that we end up driving. That's why there aren't even any photos of the LE or SE yet.
