This press release is a little devoid of specs, but it does have the same 76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh battery options as the 2027 Highlander BEV. I’m assuming it’ll be made in the US with the same US sourced battery found in the 2027 highlander BEV. Unlike the 2027 Highlander BEV the TZ is offered only in AWD and herein lies the quandary. Typically Lexus differentiates FWD, AWD, and power difference with numbers like 350, 450, 500, 550, etc.. Not sure how they’ll differentiate a TZ trim with the 76.96 kWh battery or the 95.82 kWh battery. They may just put it under the Premium and Luxury trim tags and call it a day. There is no mention of motors or power, so who knows they may have bigger e-Axles in the rear for higher power, like the RZ 550e. Also unlike the 2027 Highlander BEV one option will be Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS). So how does it compare to the 2027 Toyota Highlander BEV overall?
