Last week I took a 2200 mile roundtrip, mostly on I40. I went the posted speed limit which was 65 mph in some places but mostly 70 mph. My C was lightly loaded and had only one passenger and a suitcase. Overall I was pleased with the results, I didn't expect to get in the 50's mpg on a long trip at such speeds. BTW, Fuelly.com calculated 52.4 mpg for this distance.

    Fuel purchases:

    Date, Miles, Gallons, MPG, Price
    10/9/2012, 415, 7.94, 52.2, 3.659
    10/5/2012, 378, 7.09, 53.3, 3.429
    10/5/2012, 405, 7.89, 51.3, 3.699
    10/4/2012, 385, 7.77, 49.6, 3.599
    9/29/2012, 379, 6.93, 54.7, 3.679
    9/29/2012, 396, 7.42, 53.4, 3.499

    Total miles- 2358
    Total gallons- 45.04
    Ave MPG Calculated- 52.4,

This first mpg reading is non-stop from Raleigh, NC to Bentonville, AR.

This my complete round trip with about 70 miles of driving while in Bentonville. The EV % is so high partly because while in Knoxville, TN there was about 1.5 hrs of creeping traffic on I40 due to construction and an accident.
