    In terms of efficiency this cost you more MPG than you recovered. You had to expend energy to recapture energy and according to the laws of thermodynamics you cannot break even or come out ahead in such an endeavor. It may appeared in the short term like it was a good idea but in the future it is best to just let the car do it's thing or do some serious research and learn how to pulse & glide or purchase a ScangaugeII and start playing with SuperHighwayMode and monitoring your TPS and RPM. :)
