Have you done any work on it recently?
Or is this a new issue?

No just bought it from the dealer 6 months ago. I believe it happened after I moved which was 2 weeks ago because as you know it is a midsized sedan. Prius are def. Spacious .I don't know but it not running like it used to when I went to the mechanic he gave me those codes and I took the picture

She's got 81 thousand miles on her and I'm looking at the fan that's making noise in the back it looks like it's full of dust but how do I go about cleaning it I also opened the hood and there's noise coming from where the air filter.

A day or two after I moved this started because I kept filling the trunk up with all my belongings and made multiple trips with a full trunk and back seats to the new apartment

That should have no bearing on anything. I have helped several people move and carted all sorts in the back. You can get a lot of stuff in the back of a Prius, and I often get comments about the quantity of cargo that it can tote.

is it possible you blocked the fan intake when moving, and overheated the battery?

can you rewrite this? what do you mean you have brake fluid?

also, there is only one fan. there is a grille in the rear seat back, passenger side. this must never be blocked.

if you covered it while moving your stuff, air cannot get from the cabin to the battery. the fan is down inside the duct between the grille and the battery. there are threads here and on youtube on how to access it.

if there's nothing covering the grille now, you don't need to do anything but fix the problem. i was just suggesting it as a possible cause.

So I took the whole trunk apart and got to the fan and it seems pretty clean so now I got no idea what could be the problem ... so have decided to take it to the Toyota dealership and pay 139 to figure out what's wrong with it... hopefully they call me within an hour or 2

So unfortunately they didn't tell me anything different there saying that the other two codes could be caused by the c1249 code which is for the brake swkitch. They say that because I have a cracked tailight water might of gone in and something might have got burnt .. there saying 838 dollars to fix the tailight and cicuit. Is it worth it or should I try to find something cheaper

i would find my best price on the parts, and look for a local mech., anyone can do it, including your uncle fred. maybe you can pick up a salvage tail light.
any explanation as to why that would cause the poor operation?

They basically said that it MIGHT be the reason why the other 2 error codes are on and that all 3 light/codes should turn off after checking replacing the brakes switch circuit. I wasn't satisfied with there explanation. Feel like I just spent 139 for nothing the lady really didn't seem to sure when she was explaining this stuff to me

they never are, i would proceed with caution. who pulled the original codes, and what scanner did they use?
