    no kidding -
our 2011 Leaf, new, was >$30K. When it hit a paltey 80,000 odometer miles, if condirions were favorable (babying it), it'd go a whopping 40 miles .... 20mi e/way.
Leaf Trade in value? $2,000 - 1/15 its original cost. I would have LOVED to have that X's resale - 'only' ¼ of its original cost after 400k miles, rather than the Leaf's 6/100's of 1% of its original cost. And that X's Powertrain (8yrs & infinite miles) is still under factory warranty. The X - with all its warts, & it did have 'em - no denying it - did pretty well imo.
