$3100 Prius tax credit question.

    Jim, that web page is a decent summary but not entirely accurate. I don't know if the inaccuracies are a result of the posting date but I'll give the writer the benefit of doubt. If there is one thing that contributed most to this unfortunate situation it was that good solid documentation was not readily available early in 2006. This happens because tax stuff is composed toward the end of the year (or next year as we saw with our beloved 8910).

    Notice where the IRS put the telephone tax credit? On its own line 71 in payments. If the hybrid credit was in the same section many people would have been much happier and everyone's taxes would have been easier to calculate.
