"Long term reservation holders will get priority."

Sounds like I'll be waiting a long time.

Just a guess, but that might not be the case. Some like Austingreen, upgraded to a longer-range version. Others may have dropped out. Others may have just gone for the Model S. Others may have purchased used. So there may be <60K left in line. At 5K units a month? Say you're ½ or even ¾ of the way back in the line? Just a few months ..... Time will fly!

But they can make 5K or more per week on the Model 3.

Doesn't that have to be divided among all 3 battery range models, namely the long - short & medium-range? ⅓ of the total cars for each size pack?

Once the low cost model starts shipping it will (probably) be 50% - 75% of the volume, at least while the wait list is worked on.
Unless Tesla limits it intentionally and strategically to keep margins higher. I think that they may try and sell lots of the ~$35K versions to get these early listers the better tax rebate for good will purposes.
