As soon as I bought my used 2010 I removed the buttress. After 2 weeks of uncomfortable driving with various steering wheel and seat positions, I just won't put up with the discomfort. NOW I just have to finish the project and make it look presentable. Posted are pictures of the current state of things. (I'm tall with long arms so reaching the shifter in its temporary shifter location is not an issue.)

Winter is coming and now that I'm comfortable in the car I probably won't get around to it till spring.

But otherwise, you bet I will definitely brag and share my progress.

It's the owner's car, to do with what they want, but you gotta think: what would a potential buyer think, seing the centre console gutted.

My first thought would be "What the hell else could they have done? And do I want to find out?".

(I'd suspect OP put it all back...)

Yeah, I'm reviving an old thread. I only want to remove the flying bridge temporarily in order to fit something under it, then put the flying bridge back. The object is too big to be "slid" in but will fit fine once installed.

    Any DIY instructions on this?

There might be enough stuff in the attached. A lot of it is follow-your nose. If you're still stuck let me know and I can link you the full manual.
