    Hello Prius owners

In 1800 miles my phenomenal Prius will turn 400,000 miles. I will watch to see if odometer
turns over from 399,999! I can't say enough good about my car. No major repairs... just
the normal maintenance. And she looks great.
I will keep my Prius till she stops and will no doubt feel really sad about losing such a great
"friend." What a car!! Serving birthday cake to all my friends & colleagues when she turns
    400,000.

    Phenomenal!!!!

    Are you the original owner?

What is your oil change interval?

Are you burning/consuming oil at this point?

Any secrets or suggestions to pass on.

Yes, I am the original owner. Bought when gas was $3.49 a gallon. My distance to work is 102 miles one way.
waited 6 weeks for her to arrive.
I was/am old fashion! Laugh if you want, but first week only went 55 miles an hour, second week 60, then 65 etc.
Did my Dad teach me that???! I changed the oil upon delivery, and then it is changed every 2500 to 3000 miles.
Just a synthtic blend. General maintenance is waaay ahead of what Toyota suggests. I have always used
Toyota original parts. I am only on my 3rd set of brakes with about 1/2 remaining. I belong to Delta Sonic. She
goes through a car wash at least 4-5 times a week on their unlimited program. I added mud flaps right after delivery,
and use snow tires in the winter.

Sad to say she does/did burn oil. . My neighborhood friendly garage ran a compression test for me.
Came in at 95 dry/105-110 wet. Coils were fine. I settled on adding 16 oz of Lucas at every oil change.
Now there is almost no oil burning. Although the compression is low, she runs great, but the miles per gal has dropped.

I am considering a Prius Prime - plug in unless I can find a great 2008 with 0 Miles!! So sorry they
changed the interior design in the 3, 4, & 5 gen.

Will turn 400,000 in 1400 miles! I am on countdown!

Still the original hybrid battery? If so, it supports the theory that driving a lot is good for the battery.
