Agree! I don't like SUVs, so Prius s is my utility vehicle. I think these cars have the same basic Prius shape.

    Or Tideland Pearl:D
I kid 'cause I've always kicked myself for not going with Tideland. The dealership didn't have one on the lot when I ordered the car. Their color sample was very dark, and the Toyota site was very light, I think it may have actually been a gen1 color used on the site. I probably would have done more to hold onto the car with it.

I opted for the Orange on the Sonic because I couldn't get the red/brick interior in time. If I waited a year, I could've gotten a Dragon Green. Worth it just for the name.

The new browns are nice, but I'm partial because my first car was a brown '86 Buick Park Avenue.
As mentioned, the S isn't a sedan, but the new Sonata hybrid is, and it matches the Tesla's cd.

OMG, you're losing it. The (tarped) body looks TOTALLY DIFFERENT than a 3rd gen Prius: Hood / windshield / roof peak location, etc... etc...

Unbelievable. 4th gen Prius 2016 starting production in 3 months and a couple weeks.

No way Toyota is dinkin around with some G3 body with G4 drivetrain.

Too many side character lines on the rendered light green car: Like a Mazda 5, yuck.

G4 will be cleaner on the sides.

Multiple consecutive posts merged, multiquote is your friend ;)

No, it looks like a whoopdeedoo, whippety poo little sedan like pretty much any Prius does.

I'm not pining for sporty, Can we just get something with a little more swagger especially on the inside?

Btw, I was just burning some time in a Toyota dealer, sat in a Prius c and noticed the front doors slope up near side mirrors.

I'm not going to check but did anyone else know and post this in ref to the San Francisco shots?

Yes, the Gen 4 Prius us going to have sloped up doors like the Prius c.

So does the Sonic. It looks real high on the new Prius, but all it will do is block the view looking left side forward under the mirror from the driver's seat. You weren't checking that area while on the road to begin with.

I, too, was shocked when I asked what the colour of the Prius at the auto show was and was told "Tideland Pearl". It looked like Silver Pine Mica in the brochure (which of course was offered from 2006-2009 to replace Tideland Pearl).

Yeah, they have a nice metallic look, definitely modern compared to a 1988 brown Accord sedan. (But then, it had cool pop-up headlights)

Has the link to toyotausanews already been posted for 2016 Prius? Accuracy?

I suspect many cars have that slope on the interior door panel now to keep the lines flowing to the dash. If so, it just isn't something you spot day to day.
On the masked Prius, it does look large, but that could be due to camera angle and reflections, or, my guess, the car hass a light color paint some that the tan piece blends more into it.

The Park Avenue only had a self leveling rear suspension and a hood hinged at the front for cool stuff.

The swaths of glossy iPod-white trim (cupholder area, echoed on the steering wheel trim) is both dated and questionable in durability. I hated the glossy center console trim in the Volt... but white?!

    Ugh.

Edit: I do now see that the car is white underneath the camouflage. So they might be doing the body-color echo. Still questionable, but not *quite* as terrible, I guess.

I did't necessarily hate the white in the volt, but can you imagine how filthy a piano white console/cupholder would get? Hopefully that isn't the final trim...

    Some other observations...

I'm guessing the air vents have that white trim also.
The Information Display is not in color.

The sides of the dash do seem to be quite high from several angles.

I agree. Received a Toyota survey a while back asking about the new "white" which I gave a firm negative. Recommending the designers check out the Kia Soul EV for an example of new economical soft-touch interior materials with appealing color and balance.

It's the body color metal without the center console plastic panel, holes for 2 cupholders!
Same white paint under the camo from the other pix!

I agree, but seems very tiny for a cup holder if that flip phone fills it up!

yes, hopefully the shape of the frame has nothing to do with the finished console.
