I drove from Germany to England last weekend. That's Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, England. My MPG improved after leaving Germany, with no speed limit I drive 160kph. That was 5,7 liters per 100km (41mpg), but once we got out of Germany, we were at 5,2 liters per 100(45mpg). Temperature: ~8C(46F).

On arriving home after this trip, I washed and waxed and appreciated my car more than before, if that's possible. It's 10 years old this year and no one believes it. I've had a lot, a lot of cars, but my Prius "Beispiellose Zuverlaessigkeit" is the best.

We also have a diesel Yaris which would have perhaps done better for MPG on the autobahn but we love the comfort of the Prius.

We only drove on the wrong side of the road once! Strangely, once you get used to driving on the left side of the road, it feels strange to drive on the right again.

Thanks to PriusChat member BritPrius (John) who helped us with the headlight adapters. John, they left no residue!

100 mph and still getting 41 mpg? That's impressive.

    I love your speed limits!!!!

Sadly, the forces of evil and darkness do not allow that here. :(

Congratulations on 10 years of great ownership!
    All the best!

They don't allow it, but it is common around here.

I too get low 40's at triple digit speeds. Can't beat that.
