I have a 75,000 maintenance coming up on my 2010 Prius. I recall past discussions about the merits of replacing the transaxle filter & fluid at different mileage points. I've never done this but is this something I should perform at this time? It's never called for on the Maintenance Schedule, only "Inspect transaxle fluid" and that's not even indicated at this mileage point.

FWIW - I'm driving less than 5,000 a year since retiring. Just want what's best for my car.

    TIA

Yes you should change it now. People are suggesting changing that fluid every 60k miles

if you plan on keeping the car beyond 150k, it's probably worth doing.

    No filter, just fluid replacement.
I swapped mine at 60k miles.

    Easy DIY job, and inexpensive.
