Got decent 8-gal fill-up in the Gen2 guess tank, first time since Nov. I am thinking this could mean switch over to summer fuel is phasing in. According to EPA summer fuel has 1.7% more energy, so that means we should expect 1.7% better MPG too. Usually costs more, but I think this year speculation bumped up the winter prices, so if the speculation was wrong, could see cheaper gaso this summer. Paid $2.14/gal

It is possible that the transition has started. By EPA regs, the change-over must be completed by 1 June for retailers (except for CA).

Date of switch to summer-grade gasoline approaches - Today in Energy - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)

Yeah, but could be that the fuel bladder is warming up instead tho. Gas prices in California have been going up steadily also. Paid $2.63 at Costco.

I guess they can start meeting the summer spec anytime they want to as it is more stringent.
I find even on warm days on winter I cannot get 8 gals, so I am thinking fuel has some role too.
