I first noticed the blower was working intermittently, and now that has stopped entirely. I'm assuming the coolant system itself is OK; it's just the fan/blower that doesn't start when I touch the switch. I'm hoping to discover a simple fix (belt replace, etc.) instead of taking the car into Toyota for an expensive fix. Where should I start looking?

Search around. I have seen a few threads where the blower motor needed replacement. Hopefully that’s all you need.

pull the cabin filter and inspect the blower. if it is clean and spins freely, see if it is getting voltage. if not, it might be the switch or wiring
