Got some rookie questions for my new to me 2010 Prius with 73k miles on it

    1. How do I disable the annoying auto lock unlock feature on my car when shifting in and out of park? I do not have Nav

    2. I am going to do an oil change and I see the car either takes 3.9 or 4.4 quarts. What is he right number? I will be changing the filter as well with a Napa one.

    3. I am getting 53 mpg in eco mode currently so assume my hybrid batter is in good shape, but what app do you guys reccommend using to check health and what should the numbers be? I have a Carista BT adapter already.

    4. I took the ugly plastic hubcaps off to expose the nice alloy wheels. Where can I get a set of center hub caps to cover the center hub and can you provide a link to the cheapest place to buy them?

    5. What is the ideal tire pressures to be running on the third gen?

3rd gen oil capacity (with filter change) is 4.2 litre or 4.4 US quarts IIRC. Double check the quarts; the litres is what I'm more familiar with. Capacities like this are noted in owner's manual.

Dr Prius should work with your carrista, I've used that a bit.

I got "genuine" caps on eBay, cheap. Had to dremel some bits but now they fit. Do get them, to avoid rust.

These will work (57mm; pro tip: you can ascertain the correct fit by actually measuring the opening in your Prius wheel...). Mine needed zero modification to fit correctly on my 2010 IV..

If you look on the car's driver side door jam, you'll see the recommended tire pressures (pro tip: that info is also in the Toyota user manual for the 2007 Prius; pretty easy to find online with a Google...) RTFM.

    "I think these will fit?"

"Remanufactured". What d'you think that actually means?

The ones I got were very chrome-y, so I shot them with a clear matte finish so they'd match the wheels.

I was planning on painting whatever I got so figured the reman items saved 10 ucks or so. I just really wanted to make sure the 57mm size was right?

The ones I got didn't seat right, rode high. I compared to my OEM's, saw the difference was an extra thick chamfer on the rim. 1/2 hour with a dremel and they fit fine.

I tried to leave feedback about this on the eBay listing, but somehow was blocked. Anyway, worked, with some effort.

I got center caps from Wish.com
Total cost with shipping was about $12.00 for all four.
    57mm fit perfectly.
I've had them installed for about 6 months now and the finish still looks great.

Disabling Auto Door Locking / Unlocking | PriusChat

Quote from post #19 (next to last post on page-1):

"OK, I have the auto door locking figured out. manual is wrong. You dont put the car to on you have to put it to ready.
So you put the car to ready, push N or P (dont hold) then hold the driver door lock/unlock for 5 sec and let go. For the 5 sec count with the blinks of the : on the clock. If you did it right the doors will lock and unlock."
