Sorry, Bev, Canberra doesn't follow from Evanston. And Evanston is a repeat, so I'll go back to Anmatjere and start with an E.

Looking at the rules again, I think we can give up now on the 'from memory' stipulation. After 2000 posts, go ahead and use whatever resources you have to find the next place. Like we haven't already. :)
Using the search function here is pretty much mandatory to be sure you've got a new place. They may get ever more obscure, but there's no danger of running out anytime soon.

Dry Run, WV (A creek in that area is often called a run, so you can do things in a dry run that you can't in a wet run, perhaps the start of the idiom? Or else it comes from doing a run-thru of something like a chemistry experiment or following a recipe without actually mixing liquids? The internet doesn't have any solid answers on this vexing question.)

    Manly, NSW

One of the best beaches in the Sydney metropolitan area and worth going to if you ever visit Sydney. The best way to get to Manly from Sydney city is by ferry, right down the full length of Sydney harbour. The ferry is just a great way to commute to and from the city - ah! crusing down the harbour on a sunny afternoon is a great way to unwind after a hard day's work.

    Go there it's nice.
The best way to get to Manly is to fly into Adelaide and walk the white sandy beaches from Largs Bay through to Marino, only 27 kolometres of uniterupted white soft sand. Then head down further south a few kilometres to the mid coast around Maslins Beach (Australia's first official nude beach) & Yankalilla where mild surf conditions suit learners, body surfers and boogie boarders, then a few more kilometres south to the surf beaches off the South Coast. After you see Adelaide's beaches if you still feel the need, head over to Manly, but best if you have a return ticket.

    Go there it's nice.
Well actually it isn't, it's a bloody dusty dirty dry hole, avoid it like the plague. It's on the way to Sydney so nothing to lose if you just stay in Adelaide and avoid the Barrier Highway all together.

Bev, and other newcomers to the game who stumble on this post.
At the top of this page right above the top post and near the right of the screen you will see a button which says "search this thread". If you think of a place name you want to use in the game you can use the search function via this button to see if that place has already been posted. The search functions on this sight are great!

Most of all have fun, and Bev, you can play in Fred's House of Pancakes all day and night whether or not you own a Prius (as long as you have had a drive of one*).

*it isn't really required that you have driven a Prius, I made that bit up.
