    Sales of the hydrogen fuel cell cars never were particularly high in the U.S., reminding us of a pilot project at best. Since the peak in 2018 (barely higher than 2017), the FCV "market" is shrinking.

    After a 12% decline in 2019, the volume more than halved in 2020 to less than a thousand units sold.

    My idea was to buy @ $3000 and swap in a prii drivetrain/ Lexus HS , convert to CNG and toss the hydrogen fuel cell

    oh boy .... Oranji is likely already searching for more anti EV articles, even as we read .... to try & obfuscate the collapse of fuel cell market's teeny share.

    To play the other side, 2020 wasn't good to many markets, and potential shoppers might have been waiting to see the new and improved Mirai.

    It was a surprise to find that article and the choice was between sharing or ignoring. There appeared to be facts and data assembled that match my understanding BUT this was just sharing an article that I ran across.

    They were looking as bad as other car companies at one point. Which just shows they weren't relying on the federal subsidy to move product.:)
