I have a 2012 Prius V #3 USA model, and am modifying the headlights. I removed the amber reflector, and painted the housing black (pics coming soon, when the whole car is done), I am looking to replace the amber reflector with the clear reflector that comes with Japan and Australia models (I understand its illegal but I love the look). I have read that some Australia and Japan owners prefer the amber reflector, so I'm looking to trade amber for clear. I know its a long shot, and if I dont find anyone to trade, I will just have no reflector (once again, I know its illegal). I also know that this is a long shot, but what the heck, might as well try. I have already researched, and the clear reflector cannot be bought as a separate item.

Have you tried a local scrap-yard, or calling your local insurance broker (find out local breaker's yard for write-offs)? There are a lot of "recyclers" these days, it seems!

Doubtful he's going to find a wrecked Australian or JDM Prius though. ;)

Yeah, it's going to be hard even if we wanted to because there isn't much demand for amber reflector not to mention Japan and Australia drive on the left side of the road which means the beam pattern would produce a lot of glare to oncoming traffic and not light up roadside signs (same for RHD headlights in a LHD world).

Good luck finding the right headlight though.

I think he just wants the reflectors, not the whole housing.
