The difference is that LDW is active regardless of your speed. It only wakes up, beeps, and gently tugs on the steering wheel if/when you drift out of your lane without using a turn signal.

LKA, on the other hand, only wakes up when the DRCC is engaged AND your speed is greater than 45 MPH. Once it is awake, it actively follows the lane markers and gently helps you steer as you track the curves in the road. It feels as if it is adjusting the "neutral" or central point of the steering wheel to help you into and out of the curves. You still have to steer, but it takes less effort.

When it it active, the display box for the LDW/LKA/DRCC has an icon representing a steering wheel visible in the upper left corner. This icon disappears and the system will beep once when your speed drops below 45 or if the camera loses track of either the left or right lane markers. This typically happens if you are driving in a lane which is merging with the adjacent lane and the markers between the merging lanes disappear as the two lanes shrink down to one. Once it can track the new lane markers, the icon will re-appear.

I drove one ( V ) and did see for myself, just wndering if switching over to the 15" wheels will have any other effect then giving up a little steering sharpness?
