AC always active when fan is on?

Just got a 2026 Prius plug-in And I’m perplexed as well. Like the vehicle has no outside air option; the AC is always on without a doubt or the heater if you crank up the temp, but no in between neutrality . Those are the only two options. Maybe it’s a new car thing but I’ve never experienced this. Nevertheless, a wondrous little ride.
