So, I dropped my keys on the ground and the force caused the "smart key" to pop open and scatter its contents, most of which were easy to locate, however, there is a tiny spring which pushes the physical key latch against the physical key to keep it from sliding out that's gone missing.

Anyone have any idea where I can obtain a replacement spring that will fit?

    Easy.
Get a replacement [sic] "smart" keyfob from eBay and pop it open.
Take the board and keylet from your broken fob case and put it into the new fob case.

You'll have to do a little leg work to see which fobs are transwappable but Yota key fob thingies fit a broad range of vehicles.

If you want to pay a little bit more and get one with a blank keylet, you use it as a spare, just like back in the good old days before keys got to be so "smart".

    Or?
KO Just the Case for HYQ14FBA Smart

    Good Luck!

Spring from a pen, cut to size? Floppy disk flap spring?

Otherwise, my silicone key fob case keeps everything in place. I have to remove it to take the key out.

I've tried modifying a pen spring, but the diameter is too large, unfortunately, for a good fit. I've got a copy of sim ant on disk needing a purpose, I'll see if that's a better fit.

What model of silicone sleeve do you have?

I just got the sleeve on eBay for hardly anything. It's not branded.

    Thanks!

I ended up wedging the pen spring in sideways. It's now extremely hard to push, but it's not something I ever separate anyway.

I'm going to pick up a silicon sleeve today.

    Thanks, professor and etc(ss)!

Replacement cases are available on both eBay and Amazon.
