Can anyone recommend an accurate tire pressure gauge under $50 that is either analog, or digital that reads in 10ths? Motion Pro makes some really nice ones, but the cheapest is over $90 and I just don't need anything that fancy, but the cheapies at the auto parts store don't appear to be all that accurate.

Why do you need something in 10ths?

Mostly because I also use it for things that have to be more accurate than 1/2#. :)

Sears carries a digital one that's relatively cheap and reads in tenths (Accutire Digital Tire Gauge with LCD Display). It sells for 15 bucks.

I was looking at the Motion Pro gauges. The problem I saw was in the schrader acceptor head design - it's like the kind seen on gas station air pump hoses. They leak a significant amount of air when being mated to the valve. As a result, you lose so much air that your true measurement accuracy is much lower than what the gauge itself is able to tell you (you lose air when taking it off the valve).

I use the Sears one. Also works great. Bought another one and it's in my wife's car.
    When it's on sale it's only $12.

I have the accutire digital version. I can't make any claims about its accuracy (it's not really something that takes external calibration), but the overfill and bleed inflation procedure is fairly convenient.

I also have a slime tire gauge that I got at walmart it measure in tenths too - its a smaller unit the size of a cigarette lighter -its blue colored. - Its a little bit annoying though the way it operates.

Just because it reads in 10ths does not mean it's accurate in 10ths.
