Actual PiP eGallon - Is this correct or even useful?

    Yes, I got 65 mpg HV in the PiP and 130 MPGe EV (260 Wh per mile). The following week under similar conditions I got 50 mpg HV in the Volt and 130 MPGe EV.

    I'm guessing a longer term average might be closer to 60-62 mpg in the PiP and, of course, 46 mpg HV in the Volt.

    okay, but what car gets the same mpg for all types of driving? i average those numbers, that's really all i can go by.

    That looks reasonable for your area. Another way to put it, electric cost somewhere around $0.22-0.25 per kWhr is approx. break even point for gasoline cost in a Prius. Our area is only $0.11 per kWhr so we would have good fuel savings. Some areas pay even less for electric.
