Installation was a breeze. $6 plastic body panel tools from harbor freight and a regular wire snake made the job a snap.
I used google's translation app and checked a few of the directions and then just gave up and went for it. The pictures show you all you need to know

What was the toughest part of the installation effort, IYO? Any tips and tricks? TIA.

The hardest part was probably snaking through the conduit between the hatch and the body of the car. i found that it was much easier to remove the lower end from the body of the car rather than squeeze my hand through the gap in the headliner.
also make sure you match the color of the wires when assembling the plug after the snaking.
there was plenty of wire in both assemblies so running out of cable at either end wasn't an issue.
just make sure you use plastic tools for the body panels so you don't scratch anything.

By 'conduit between the hatch and body' do you mean the long, flexible grommet?

it doesn't just get more light in the trunk area, it lights up the entire space surrounding the tailgate
