Hi everyone, my 2017 prius base doesnt come with cruise control and i was wondering if anyone here has any advice on installing it? Found on ebay that the cruise control stalk used is a generic toyota. Thus far unable to find any installation videos on youtube except for one detailing installation into a Prius C with 2 additional wires. Does the Prius (XW50) require this?

Would highly appreciate any input there.

There has been a previous thread on this - you might find it in search.

I think the answer was "NO" - or at least, not without changing much more than the stalk. There are cameras, radar sensors each of which need expensive calibration, as well as the computer would need programming - and TOYOTA, if I remember right, couldn't do it at a dealer level.

I'd suggest, if you need it, you will have to change vehicles.
