Hi all, bought a 2010 Prius with 190K miles for $8K USD and two pistons are misfiring intermittently. Since the purchase I have put about 3K into it (Brakes + Catalytic Converter + Radiator).

Options I have come up with so far are:
    1. Local Toyota dealer service ($5K)
-- swap the engine with an engine 125K miles - 12 month, 12k miles warranty.
    2. Local Garage with a good reputation 3250
-- JDM engine with 55-65K for 1600 and have local garage swap engine (labor 1650)

Does anyone have any advice they can offer? Thank you.

Buy a JDM engine out of Belleville I think it's New Jersey JDM looked them up online your engine will be $1,100 and if you're anywhere near them you can go pick it up mine was shipped to North Carolina with a transmission MG1 and 2 for I think 200 of course the price of the engine went with that and the transmission I think was 150 bucks I wanted both pieces to be low mileage in my car as my car had 200,000 so did my transmission now they both have about 80,000 if not a little less and they looked it beautiful pieces your cheapest option you don't want to be working on this open deck business.
