This is sort of on the same subject, but it is getting a bit colder in the UK so I have been using the heater for the first time since I have had the car. The coolant drops pretty fast if you are doing a long glide I went from 80C to 60C and it is not that cold (I have blocked my upper grill and will do the lower when it is colder). I understand that you should use you heater wisely, but other than starting the ICE to get more heat does the drop in temperature cause any other issues such as dropping back stages.

    Thanks

Yes, that's pretty much the theory.

This morning first 5 minutes 65 mpg! During the rest of my 40 minute commute, never had an interval less than 50 mpg. So I'm definitely happy with the EBH! Will be interesting to see how much difference it makes over an entire tank. Unfortunately after 385 miles I think I might be on to a 600 mile tank :(

Block upper grill first, then lower. Take off lower first, then upper.

Jimbo, Just wanted to say that I checked my coolant temp after sitting all night with no warming up from the EBH and it was at 100 degrees. So leaving on my EBH for 3-3.5 hrs every morning warms it up an additional 55-60 degrees.
