I want to make my PIP run more than 10 miles on EV. Is there any after market battery I can install?

I'm happy because I'm only 2.7 miles from work and even with the 9.0 miles of actual EV this winter it's plenty to get where I'm going.:D

I don't think the pis is for c anyway. However, I don't think it is for PIP either. Also, the whole website does not mention their address worries me a little bit.

due dilegence. honestly, i wonder how they stay in business. now if toyota were to add a plug n play... that being said, SteveWlf is getting started with a new installation, and mjfrog has one. you might try pm ing them for opinions.

If the add-on pack was fairly easy to install, reliable, had a real warranty and was inexpensive enough to make it economically feasible- then many, many folks here at PC would have gone with this option.
The lack of installs in the PC community speaks volumes....

I don't think we're going to see a battery add-on for the Plug-in Prius. There are fewer than 10,000 Plug-in Prius cars on the road. How can somebody engineer, test, and insure a design that could be profitable? From a business perspective, such an add-on makes no sense at all. There are plug-in add-ons for the Prius, since there are millions of them. But event that is a very small market.
