After completing a repair job myself, i cannot get the car to start because the immobilizer is engaged. The smart key locks/unlocks, allows the dashboard to light up, push power button etc, but the car will not enter “ready” mode so it can start. Because I cannot get it started I can’t run the codes, but what I think is the anti-theft indicator is blinking. I did disconnect the battery in the repair process so that’s probably what engaged the immobilizer.

I’ve tried a couple of ways to “reset” the immobilizer system, according to the internet, but no go. I can’t get it to a dealer so I’m not sure what next steps I should take. Any advice?

I should note: key fob battery and car battery are not dead.

And the car does not need to be ready to go online with it. If you have Techstream, it communicates normally in "IG-ON" mode (press power button 2x with foot off the brake)
