"Ahh, you drive a Prius, right? Tell me about it....

In four years I've never had a co-worker show any interest whatsoever in the Prius, and I've only gotten two comments: One guy saw it in the parking lot and said that it looked like some sorta space ship; another guy (who drives performance vehicles) wanted to know why I didn't buy something that would be "fun" to drive.

They're very popular vehicles in this area, but nobody where I work has any interest in them. It's just another car to them. However, since easily 80% of the people here work less than a 10-minute, city-street-only drive from work, and it's cold for eight months in the year, it doesn't seem likely that they'd really benefit from commuting with a Prius anyway.

 

Isn't that a bit optimistic? I'd say 60-70k

Why aren't they walking or riding bikes to work? Strangely, people never ask me for test rides on my bike, and they don't ask me how much money I save on gas either...
