I'm trying to replace high side ac schrader valve. It doesn't appear that internal stem is replaceable, rather the whole assembly should be replaced, but I cannot unscrew it. I cannot find a replacement part either. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

You should be able to unscrew it. You need a much longer length remover tool to reach the valve than the one used on the tire stem.

So the inner stem does come off?

Yes, the whole assembly will screw out. We used to replace high side schrader innards with high temperature truck valve assemblies back before the factories started using hi-temp valves. If you cannot find a refrigeration kit, you can go that route. I do not know if the new oils will work with the truck valves, however. That should be checked out.
