    i removed it and highway mileage has improved for me, the engine noise has increased during hard acceleration

    i honestly hardly see a difference in performance, but mileage is almost the same minus the highway

    im not sure if i can attribute the improvement to the resonator removal alone, i did that coolant bypass modification too.

    Driving between 55-60 mph including periods of 70 mph driving ( 10 minutes ) i achieved 56.7 mpg for a drive of 25 miles yesterday, no downhill, all highway level road down here in south florida, 92 degrees.

    About Davids explanation, i truely agree, i removed my accord hybrid resonator and heard these gulps during normal driving.

    it sounded like a vacuum rushing air into the intake
